DFI - Term 4 - Online 2021
Day 1 - Core Business
Today I commenced the start of the online DFI Course. It is great to network with other educators across the country.
I am quite excited but also apprehensive about the training. I have been a Microsoft Office Suite user all my working career and stepping foot into the Google World does bring challenges. However, I am up for the challenge and look forward to the day that I become a proficient user.
Being new to teaching, having an introduction to Manaiakalani and understanding the pedagogy and Kaupapa I found very informative - Connecting communities, motivating and engaging 21st Century learners through Learn, Create, Share.
Having the ability to test some of our new skills throughout the day I found very helpful. I have included an example of a draft poster utilising Google docs. Still many skills to learn!

ReplyDeleteWelcome to the DFI! As a form MS Office user, I can say that transitioning over to the Google world does become easier, and once you are used to it you'll find so many benefits! Your poster looks like a useful reminder for if/when we go back into lockdown.
